We are a group of people committed to creating a radical housing cooperative in this city, so that we can escape the landlord system which makes us poor and angry.

We have been renting flats for years, and have become sickened by how much money goes into the pockets of wealthy landlords and the estate agents working on their behalf. We have been making them wealthier, while our economic and social situation has remained precarious and stressful.

In rented flats we have had no freedom to decide how we want to organise, manage, or live in our home - we have always been restricted by the demands a landlord makes of us.

A housing cooperative is a way of gaining control over our housing situation, making us better off and more secure. We can create and manage our home in a way which suits our needs, and our rent will go towards making us better off.
